Finnhub Logistics Date 2025

The sixth annual meetup kicked off with a thought-provoking map presentation by Jukka Kopra (Member of Parliament, Chair of the Defense Committee) on the world’s crisis hotspots and countries already at war. His presentation broadened the perspective beyond Europe. Whether it’s the war in Ukraine, tensions in the Balkans, Africa, the Middle East, or the China-Taiwan situation, one common factor remains: Russia or China is involved in the background. One of the key questions for the future is: “Who controls the Northeast Passage?”

According to economist Sanna Kurronen (Bank of Finland), the global economy is fragmenting – or is it just that Western nations are disengaging from China and Russia? China’s economy is facing deep challenges, primarily due to its debt-driven, investment-heavy growth model and a declining population. Meanwhile, global trade in digital services continues to expand.

At the Logistics Meetup, we discuss much more than just logistics – topics that impact business operations and our shared future, such as digitalization, automation, the hydrogen economy, and an evolving geopolitical landscape.

Feedback from attendees:

A big thank you to all our speakers, our fantastic audience, and of course, our partners. See you next year!
