In Loviisa was built new elevator in railcar unloading pit to be able to by-pass silos. This 15 meter high elevator moves from unloading pit corn (or wood pellets, sugar beet pulp pellets, soymeal etc…) to the truck, which drives it to the flat stores, which are located nearby.
Intake capacity is 200 tons per hour. Three railcars in one hour makes up to 70 railcars in 24 hours.
In Loviisa has been constructed four new flat stores totally floor area of 12 000 m2 during last two years. These flats stores are having space for more than 50 000 tons of grains.
Loading of the vessel takes place with a grab.
