This event focuses on cooperation between Finland and Kazakhstan in various industry sectors and provides an excellent platform for discussions on current developments in Finland in sectors such as Logistics, Business Development and Education.

Finnhub Spring Meeting 13. - 15.3.
Finnhub had it's annual spring meeting on 14th of March at Finnlines M/S Nordlink. On agenda we had a financial statement 2016, current affairs and workshop about digitalization in logistics business.
After arriving Travemünde/Lübeck we had a company visits/presentations LHG and ECL and a port tour.
And a nice lunch at Shiffersgesellschaft.
Port of Helsinki Ltd to be an owner of the Port of Loviisa
Port of Helsinki Ltd and the city of Loviisa have negotiated selling a 60% majority of the shares of the Loviisa port company to Port of Helsinki Ltd. The purchasing price is to be 3.7 million euros. The city of Loviisa will retain ownership of the land and water areas, for which tenure is given to Port of Loviisa Ltd for 80 years.
The purchase will expand the range of services offered by Port of Helsinki Ltd and allow the company to prepare for the increasing traffic in Southern Finland. Until now, Port of Helsinki Ltd has mainly offered services in passenger and unitized cargo traffic. The purchase will significantly increase the capacity of Port of Helsinki Ltd for unitized cargo and dry bulk transportation.
The Port of Loviisa will strengthen its standing in the Finnish network of ports as it can develop its operations with help from the Port of Helsinki. In the long term, the arrangement will further the development of the port in accordance with the needs of its customers.
The purchase must be approved by the Loviisa City Council before it can be signed. The purchase will take effect on 1 January 2017.
